What on earth have I been up to? More like, what haven’t I been up to?!?
Sorry, giddy from lack of something. Not sleep, auto-suggest. Something else.
Anyway, I don’t have any real news about my own writing, yet, unless you count negative news (I have received some magazine rejections recently) or potential future negative news (I have submitted not one but *two* manuscripts to various publishers, in hopes of, I don’t know, miracles?). In other news, though….
Wordplay is coming up this Saturday! An awesome lineup, and I’ll be there all day long, taking in as much as I can. (Which will totally wear me out…introvert overload…but that’s okay. Worth it!) People with $45 and the fortitude for live music could go to the kickoff concert Friday night. Carnage the Executioner is elaborate and amazing.
The worst part of Wordplay is that I’ll be missing out on Antonio Williams’ Book Launch & Conversations with Writers, taking place at Arlington Hills Community Center, Saturday afternoon from 1-4 pm.
Okay, in the interest of amusing myself, and maybe a couple of you, dear readers, some thoughts. (Sometimes laughter is a good way to avoid crying. Not that crying should always be avoided! Tears clean out the ducts and encourage redoing one’s mascara. Just sayin’.)
I get trying to live “more efficiently,” but if you’re replacing meals with shakes and eating the same meals every day, I don’t get why you’re trying to live at all. Okay, maybe I like food too much. (If that’s even a thing. I have my doubts.)
Sometimes Google hits a little close to the bone 🥲:
AI can be such a spoilsport:
Sometimes I worry about people. Sometimes I worry a lot.
That’s it for now. More news in the future. Presumably. Be well out there! 🌈🦄
