Featured speakers included Adina Burke, who read from her chapbook Wheelchairs, Whips and Bondage Tape (available at Moon Palace Books, Bookshop.org, or Amazon), and Mick Soup (bio available on The L Spot’s Facebook page).
(Adina Burke also wrote A Bird’s Eye, a poetry book with illustrations by Asma Bezneiguia).
There was a large turnout—the room was full—and lots of people read selections, some from their own work, some from poetry books available at the reading (including last week’s Queer Nature). I read twice, two poems each time.
The next Spring Poetry Series event the library is hosting is on May 6th, Telling Truth with TaneshaNicole & Ollie Schminkey. You can get (free) tickets on Eventbrite.
