Some of y’all out there are flagging 🥲. My “open and read” percentage is a gentle downward slope. Hang in there, folks, we only have one more week to go!
August 24th - Book Twenty-Four (Cider Press Review)
Number of Pages: 79
Start Page: 14
Number of Poems: 47
Time Reading: 35 minutes
The book is Resurrected Body (winner of the 2023 Cider Press Review Editors’ Prize Book Award), by Elizabeth C. Garcia. Different from a lot of poetry collections I’ve read so far. Momhood: not all snickerdoodles & sunshine!
Even more worn out than yesterday. The Minnesota New Theater Conference made for a full weekend; I learned a lot, including just how exhausting eight full hours learning new stuff among (mostly) new people is for me. Call me an extroverted introvert—I need alone time to refill my energy tanks. Pretty sure I started today only half-full 🫠.
