SC25 - Day Twenty-Eight (Button Poetry)
In an extremely odd coincidence, I heard the author read his own poetry from this book Wednesday night.
In Neil Hilborn’s Writing Circle. He was the guest poet. Synchronicity? Or is the world timeline actually mapped to the surface(s) of a hypercube?
August 28th - Book Twenty-Eight (Button Poetry)
Number of Pages: 78
Start Page: 1
Number of Poems: 50
Time Reading: ?? minutes (forgot to time)
The book is Toy Gun, by Matt Coonan, not the first poet-MC in this month’s readings. He’s a nice guy, from what I saw and heard on Zoom. Some fun forms in his book, including a variation on erasures which I’d like to try out myself sometime.
Guns are a fairly fraught topic at all times, but even more so right now. Sorry for the timing. Even sorrier for all the terrible things about the world-as-it-is.
