SC25 - Day Seventeen (Button Poetry)
Wherein the question is begged: Who's doing the counting?!?
OK, by now you may have noticed a lot of Button Poetry books in my s/pile. Part of that is I’ve personally met and/or seen so many Button poets, either through local poetry slams (BuckSlam) or, um, larger local poetry slams (Midwest Poetry Mash-Up). Also they have a lot of sales which seem to have been cleverly timed & marketed in ways I have found hard to resist 😅.
August 17th - Book Seventeen (Button Poetry)
Number of Pages: 63
Start Page: 1
Number of Poems: 45
Time Reading: 40 minutes
The book is Our Numbered Days, by the one and only Neil Hilborn. One of my favorite poets, and not only because he says ridiculously nice things to me sometimes. (And is, in general, just a ridiculously nice human being.) Though that possibly has something to do with it.
Neil’s work is also, for whatever reason (I don’t look gift sharks in the mouth) inspirational for my own writing; I wrote not one but two poems today!
