I have a very full schedule today, so I grabbed something quick off the pile. What is a sideways pile called? 🤔
Also, a quick note: I normally put out one or so (if I’m lucky 😅) newsletters per month, and now suddenly I’m doing it every. Single. Day. Some of you will not like this.
I’m specifically talking to the people who have disabled emails from me, who may not actually read this, alas—it’s only a few, but there may be more as the month goes on 🫠. I don’t blame you! I’m not mad at you! I do hope you come back on September 1st. And keep an eye on the newsletter through…Substack, I guess? Or my website? Because There Will Be ✨Actual Writing News✨! And if you follow me & my writing, you won’t want to miss it.
August 3rd - Day Three (Nomadic Press)
Number of Pages: 26
Start Page: 5
Number of Poems: 16
Time Reading: 15 minutes
I am a bit embarrassed by the number of books in this pile (spile? no, that’s a bung, spout, or pile-in-the-sense-of-long-slender-column) that I’m a few pages into, and by how little time it would’ve taken me to finish them. Seriously, Davi? WTAF? Twenty-nine of these 31 books are actual poetry books that I own—some gifts, some trades, some purchases, and two from the library—and yet, here we are. I hope that I’m at least helping some of you feel less guilty about your own book situation….
The book is XV, by Zach Goldberg. I got it from the source, but I’m still working on getting it signed.
See you tomorrow, for a Monday morning Day Four!
