I thought I was going to start my poetry book before breakfast and finish it before lunch. Neither of those things happened. But! I made it by midnight, so chalk up the point! You know. Whoever’s keeping score. Gremlin in my head, I guess.
August 6th - Book Six (Copper Canyon Press)
Number of Pages: 102
Start Page: 5
Number of Poems: 46
Time Reading: 1 hour and 2 minutes (scattered across the landscape of the day)
The book is When My Brother Was an Aztec, by Natalie Diaz (the other library book in my Sealey Challenge queue). This was a collection of tough poems; I broke it up throughout the day for the sake of mental health 😅.
No more library books! The rest are freely write-in-able (which I do love to do).
