Re-Verb, the every-Thursday-night open mic at Flava Coffee & Cafe, is my go-to open mic. TruArtSpeaks, local pillar of hip hop community, puts this on. When I can, I get there. I love the Radical Joy open mic, by Joe Davis, monthly on second Tuesdays, at Lutunji’s Palate. When I can, I like to get there. Missed it this month, alas.
