Don't Be Afraid of the Dark (writing news)
Fungus is delicious. Some fungus. NOT all of it. But anyway it grows best in the dark.
Hi y’all! (Yes, I spent some time down South. But also, “y’all” is so much clearer than “you (pl.)”! And doesn’t offend anyone, far as I know. Why wouldn’t I use it? Why doesn’t everybody??) My schedule is treating me more nicely (for now 😅), so I’ll try to catch you up a bit.
Dada Duende Record Club Volume Six: Chanson
Three Davi Gray poems published in this fabulous limited-edition art object.
You don’t want to sleep on this opportunity to own your very own (gorgeous 😍) softcover full-color book featuring visual artwork, three poems by me, an 8” x 8” lathe-cut record (!) featuring an original composition titled “Chanson” (!!), and a special edition 8” x 8” pigment print (!!!). This is a numbered set with an edition size of 100, and when they’re gone…they’re gone. The craftsmanship and attention to detail that’s gone into this is phenomenal.
The poems? Thus:
Morning Song
Heat Radiates from the Body of the Ground
Canticles of Stone
Therein you’ll find the genderfluid moon, love as object of the hunt, vesper sparrows, the sun, concrete, Roman gladiators, Gaza, and Gaudí’s Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família.
If you buy your copy now, you won’t have to live the rest of your life thinking—knowing!—you missed this opportunity. Searching obsessively through estate sales and landfills. Digging roots by moonlight while whispering into the ears of strange mushrooms your wish for time to unroll itself just enough for you to collect your very own copy of Chanson.
It also makes a great gift for anyone in your life who likes beautiful and/or rare things! I mean…a lathe-cut record? You can (almost certainly) be the only one at your church potluck, poker table, or pony show with this objet d’art.
I don’t get a commission; I’m just trying to help y’all not miss out. FOMO is real and sometimes justified 😉.

This Body, This Fruit (the collection)
No publisher—yet—but this happened:
This Body, This Fruit (the play)
No producer lined up yet for the Revised & Expanded Edition, though I haven’t eliminated the option of self-producing (as I’ve been doing so far, and I would have again if I’d won the Fringe lottery). Investigations—and further edits & polishing—continue apace.
