First, apologies if I’m confusing you with my fickle nature. Second, I went to see Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah at Moon Palace Books, talking about his new novel, Chain Gang All-Stars. His interlocutor was the inimitable Zeke Caligiuri, local activist, advocate, and writer (This Is Where I Am). It was a fascinating conversation, touching on issues of the carceral state, writing fiction, race, class, cultural appropriation, and the Fonz. (You had to be there….) It was time well-spent.
